Vampyr (Russian subtitles) PS4
The game takes place in London shortly after the First World War. Its main character, doctor Jonathan Reed, turns into a vampire and must put up with his new condition, torn between the Hippocratic oath and his newfound bloodthirsty nature.
The player is not obliged to kill other characters in order to successfully complete the game, however, the hunt for people allows the hero to restore lost strength and acquire new abilities. The game was inspired by the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic. The developers visited London to reproduce the city in detail in the game; her scenery combines real and fictional landmarks.
Vampyr's gameplay is a third person Action / RPG. The player controls the main character of the game, Jonathan E. Reed, a vampire doctor, whose lust for blood makes him kill innocent people. To do this successfully, he must collect information about future victims - study their habits, collect evidence and maintain certain relationships with the people of London. The city is partly built on the principle of an open world - in the form of vast areas connected by passages. At the will of the player, any other character in the game can become a victim of the hero, but any death will have consequences that affect the plot. Absorption of human blood allows the hero to discover new vampiric abilities and replenish lost strength. The ability of hypnosis allows you to influence the behavior of victims, for example, allowing you to take them to an inconspicuous place and feed without engaging in combat. As a doctor, the hero can heal sick or injured victims, thus gaining benefits.
The game can be played without killing anyone, which is the best way to preserve the doctor's image, but makes the player unable to gain new levels. In battles, the player can use improvised weapons, for example, saws, as well as small arms against various enemies - people and supernatural monsters. Weapons can be improved by using items that the player finds on the bodies of victims. When using vampiric forces in battle, the character loses health and energy. He can replenish lost strength by drinking human blood. The "jump" ability makes it easy to evade pursuit and jump over chasms, and after being upgraded, it allows you to deal damage when it collides with an enemy and gives you temporary invulnerability.
