In early October, iOS 13.2 beta released an animation of the noise canceling activation button for the new AirPods. Judging by it, an additional toggle switch will appear in the volume control settings in the Control Center, which will be responsible for activating or deactivating noise cancellation. But this is far from the only hint at the AirPods 3 features: for example, case manufacturers have already begun preparations for the release of accessories for the new AirPods, and apparently they know something.
The new AirPods are expected to launch in late 2019 or early 2020. However, accessory maker ESR has already released both a "cover" and a case for the so-called AirPods Pro. And judging by the presence of the wider charging case in the pictures, the AirPods will have silicone (or foam) ear pads for a snug in-ear fit.
According to rumors, AirPods 3 will receive a "sporty" design. The earbuds will receive a special mount that will allow users to jog or exercise without fear that the earbuds may fall out of their ears at the most inopportune moment. The company will also abandon the glossy finish and use matte plastic in the case. But at the same time, the main feature of the new product will be the active noise cancellation function. It is also possible that the IP67 / IP68 dust and moisture protection standard and new body colors will appear.
AirPods Pro are expected to have a higher price tag than existing AirPods, which retails for $ 159 with a wired charging case and $ 199 for the wireless charging model. The exact pricing of the new model remains to be seen.
